Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Data Analyst to join our Finance and Revenue Cycle team. The ideal candidate demonstrates a sense of curiosity, an ability to work with ambiguity, and a razor-sharp focus on efficiency. This position will report to the VP, Finance and will play a crucial role in workflow creation & automation, model development, and ad hoc analytics supporting interdisciplinary teams & functions. Our team works closely with Finance, Revenue Cycle, and Operations in developing solutions to complex care delivery problems spanning front line finance, revenue cycle, operations, specialty services, business intelligence, and strategic planning.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of foundational data and further development of SQL server for financial, compensation, and revenue cycle data.
  • Coordinates the preparation and review of financial reports and ad hoc analytics under supervisory direction. Completes in-depth analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for providers to better serve our patients.
  • Works closely with Finance and Revenue Cycle in designing tools and processes for equipping business operations leaders with the information they need to deliver more efficient and effective care.
  • Responsible for automating key workflows in partnership with the Business Intelligence & Data Analytics team.
  • Supports the data needs of cross functional teams & projects, from leveraging SQL to pull data to distilling key insights into executive-level readouts in PowerPoint.

Qualifications

  • BS or BA degree in business, economics, finance, accounting, Business Intelligence analytics, MIS, computer science, engineering, or equivalent work experience with 2-4 years of professional experience conducting and evaluating routine data analysis.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Experience with SQL (2-4 years)
  • Experience with data visualization tools (Power BI or Tableau) preferred
  • Healthcare industry experience is a plus
