Summary

To enable Curana Health’s expansion and performance, the Business Development team is seeking a high-performing leader to drive growth in our partnerships with large senior living organizations in the Southeastern United States. This role will develop and cultivate relationships with organizations to assess prospective partner needs and propose Curana Health strategies to help solve complex clinical and financial issues through our primary care focused medical group, our Medicare Accountable Care Organizations and Medicare Advantage health plans – either separately or combined. This is a great opportunity to play a critical role in redefining a sector of healthcare on the precipice of major transformation and reform.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develop Curana Health’s partnership strategy and drive business development activity in the Northeast
  • Establish trusted relationships with the leadership of senior living organizations and other stakeholders to identify and validate mutually beneficial partnership opportunities
  • Lead all business development activity in partnership with Curana’s Growth Operations team, including prospecting, outreach, pitches, negotiations, and contract execution
  • Develop the relevant subject matter expertise of senior living, value-based care, and Curana Health’s partnership models
  • Based on market growth needs, manage and develop a highly productive commercially-oriented team
  • Work collaboratively with Curana Health operational leads to facilitate in-market lead generation, contracting and coordinated implementation
  • Assess prospective partner needs and present suitable Curana Health partnership opportunities
  • Negotiate mutually beneficial partnership arrangements with senior living organizations
  • Attend conference and industry events as needed to drive regional growth
  • Use company CRM tools to drive efficient deal flow and tracking

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5+ years of experience in healthcare provider, plan, consulting or technology sectors
  • Understanding and experience within the senior living industry
  • Proven track record of success in partnership development
  • Familiarity and experience with value-based care concepts and payment models, e.g. ACOs, Medicare Advantage
  • Clinical, financial and technical understanding of health care operations
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with proven experience delivering executive-facing presentations
  • Proficiency in business systems including Microsoft Office, customer relationship and project management

Preferred Requirements

  • Masters degree
  • Demonstrated relationships with key senior housing operators in Southeast
  • Prior experience with Medicare Advantage Special Needs Plans (ISNP, CSNP)

Expectations

  • Fully-remote
  • Travel estimate: 40%
  • Comfort with meaningful compensation tied to deal execution
