Summary

The Director of Business Development will lead Curana Health’s partnership strategy and growth initiatives across the Southeast (FL, GA, NC, SC), with a specialized focus on skilled nursing facilities (SNFs), post-acute care networks, and senior living. This role is responsible for identifying, cultivating, and executing strategic partnerships that expand Curana Health’s footprint in value-based care delivery within the post-acute and senior living continuum

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a regional growth strategy focused on skilled nursing and post-acute care partnerships.
  • Build trusted relationships with SNF operators, post-acute care leaders, and senior living executives to identify mutually beneficial opportunities.
  • Lead all business development activities including prospecting, outreach, solution presentations, negotiations, and contract execution.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in SNF operations, post-acute care models, and Curana Health’s value-based partnership offerings.
  • Collaborate with Growth Operations and Market Operations teams to ensure seamless lead generation, contracting, and implementation.
  • Assess partner needs and present tailored solutions that align with Curana Health’s clinical and financial goals.
  • Negotiate partnership agreements that support shared success in Medicare Advantage, ACOs, and other value-based arrangements.
  • Represent Curana Health at industry conferences and events to build brand awareness and drive regional growth.
  • Maintain accurate and timely records of business development activities using CRM tools.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in healthcare business development, consulting, or provider/plan strategy—preferably within SNFs or post-acute care.
  • Deep understanding of skilled nursing operations, post-acute care pathways, and value-based care models.
  • Proven success in developing partnerships with SNFs and senior housing operators.
  • Experience with Medicare Advantage Special Needs Plans (ISNP, CSNP) and other post-acute payment models.
  • Strong clinical, financial, and operational acumen in healthcare delivery.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with experience engaging executive-level stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM/project management systems.
  • Demonstrated relationships with key SNF and senior housing operators in the Southeast region.

Expectations

  • Fully-remote
  • Travel estimate: 40%
  • Comfort with meaningful compensation tied to deal execution

This role requires travel to and from one or more assigned facilities using a personal vehicle. A valid driver’s license, current auto insurance, and an acceptable driving record are required. Periodic motor vehicle (MVR) checks may be conducted as a condition of, and/or for, continued employment.
