Summary

Curana Health's Medical Group is seeking an experienced, highly analytical Director of Strategic Initiatives to join our Transformation Office. In this high-impact role, you will drive enterprise-wide strategic initiatives with a primary focus on advancing and optimizing Curana's Care Management programs while supporting organizational transformation and operational excellence.

 

Partnering closely with executive leadership and stakeholders across clinical, operational, finance, and technology teams, you will guide complex initiatives from strategy and design through implementation, change management, performance measurement, and ongoing optimization. The ideal candidate combines strategic thinking, analytical rigor, and execution excellence, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights that drive business performance and organizational growth.

 

Who You Are

You are a strategic, data-driven leader with experience in healthcare strategy, consulting, transformation, business operations, care management, or a related field. You thrive in fast-paced, evolving environments and have a proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives, influence stakeholders, and deliver measurable results.

You are equally comfortable building financial models, analyzing complex operational and clinical data, developing executive-level presentations, and driving projects from concept through execution. You bring strong business acumen, exceptional problem-solving skills, and a passion for improving healthcare delivery through innovation, analytics, and operational excellence.

Experience with value-based care, Medicare-focused programs, AI, automation, predictive analytics, or emerging technologies is highly desirable.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Strategic Initiative Leadership

  • Lead high-impact, cross-functional strategic initiatives from concept through implementation.
  • Drive organizational transformation efforts and strategic priorities across the Medical Group.
  • Develop project roadmaps, implementation plans, communication strategies, and governance structures.
  • Facilitate stakeholder alignment and executive decision-making.

 Care Management Leadership

  • Own strategy, oversight, and performance management for Curana's Care Management portfolio, including CCM, APCM, BHI, and future care management initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities to improve, scale, and optimize care management programs and operational processes.
  • Partner with clinical, operational, finance, and technology leaders to improve program performance and outcomes.
  • Support growth and innovation within Curana's value-based care model.

Change Management & Operational Excellence

  • Lead cross-functional workgroups and implementation teams.
  • Develop initiative playbooks, communication plans, and change management strategies.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and business outcomes.
  • Drive process improvement and organizational effectiveness initiatives.

Data Analytics & Business Intelligence

  • Analyze large and complex clinical, operational, financial, and business datasets.
  • Develop operational, financial, forecasting, and scenario models to support strategic decision-making.
  • Build compelling executive presentations and business cases.
  • Translate complex data into clear, actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Identify opportunities to leverage AI, automation, predictive analytics, and emerging technologies to improve operational performance and business outcomes.

Executive Partnership

  • Partner closely with executive leadership on strategic priorities and organizational initiatives.
  • Prepare executive-level presentations, business cases, and recommendations.
  • Facilitate leadership meetings and strategic planning discussions.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 5–10 years of experience in strategic operations, consulting, implementation, transformation, healthcare operations, program management, change management, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative capabilities, including financial modeling, forecasting, KPI development, business case creation, and scenario modeling.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and the ability to create impactful executive-level PowerPoint presentations.
  • Strong project management skills with a demonstrated ability to lead initiatives from concept through execution.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze, interpret, and derive insights from large and complex datasets.
  • Ability to translate operational, financial, and clinical data into executive-level recommendations.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to thrive in ambiguous, fast paced, and rapidly evolving environments.
  • Experience working effectively within matrixed organizations.
  • Strong interest in healthcare, Medicare, value-based care, and the senior living industry.
  • Ability and willingness to travel domestically as needed (approximately 0–15% of the time, typically 1–2 times per quarter) to support leadership meetings, strategic initiatives, and team collaboration.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA, MHA, or equivalent advanced degree.
  • Experience with care management programs such as CCM, APCM, BHI, care coordination, or other Medicare-focused value-based care initiatives.
  • Experience applying AI, automation, predictive analytics, or emerging technologies to solve business challenges and improve operational performance.
  • Experience with Power BI, SQL, Tableau, or similar analytics tools.
  • Experience in management consulting, strategic consulting, or a similarly rigorous problem-solving environment.
  • Experience working in high-growth, fast-paced organizations.
